RESPONSIBILITY

"I am responsible for doing the work I need to do today even though it may be hard"- Helen Keller

Recap of Last Week...

Last week was full of excitement... Clowns, Walk to School Day, and more.  We gave out more than 100 water bottles to students that walked or rode to school safely.  If any students did not get their water bottle, please let us know.

We had a huge delivery of donations for the Paw Shop from Brown Trout.  Let's make sure we are giving out those Paws of Pride so that students can buy as much as they'd like!

Safety:

In addition to your 15 min Responsibility lesson this week during specials, please remember to teach your students the emergency drill procedures:

Thank you Alicia M for opening your room to the Latino Literacy Project.

Karen Guy- For being a great friend and supportive when I need it!

Simone Martin- Is a great partner to have! She is working hard to help teach my students and bring those scores up. We make a great team.

Our custodial staff works hard to make our school look clean.

This wonderful human known as Ms. Lopez has been a wonderful support system for me. As a first year teacher she has proven to be more than helpful, she's practically the crutches that help get me by. So BIG SHOUT OUT TO YOU MS. LOPEZ!!!

José and Alex deserve a big shoutout for organizing the sixth grade fish tacos. It was great to see all the parents working together with the teachers to deliver an awesome product!

Helen has gone to great lengths to integrate /mainstream special education students in her classroom, providing curriculum they can do successfully and working with sped team to address their individual needs. Thank you Helen!

A shout out to Liz Peralta (student teacher) for being so actively involved in the classroom; from always taking self initiative and teaching difficult lessons to checking in on our students' day to day needs. Having her in the classroom feels more like having a partner/co-teacher. We appreciate all that you do!

Alicia- For coming into our classrooms to talk about issues in such a loving manner.

PTO for working so hard to put together our Fall Festival, many of you were here until almost 10pm and had been on campus since at least 8 am.  Thank you for your dedication to our students.
